In Wyoming, former Wayland firefighter Matthew Cook, initially fired from his job for accessing child pornography on work computers, has been accused of attempted kidnap and rape of a 12 year old girl. Cook tried to hire a prostitute and convince her to help him find a young girl between the ages of 9 and 14; the prostitute promptly turned Cook into the police.

Ira Bernard Durham, 36, of Rock Hill, North Carolina, faces two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and three counts of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, according to the sheriff's office. Durham has been accused of raping two female students at the school where he worked as a wrestling coach. One victim reported the rape, and as a result of that investigation, the other victim was discovered.
